Online Dating today

Online dating is now one of the most popular ways in finding friendship or even romance today.

This has become more obvious with the birth of social networking site like “Facebook” and “Myspace” to name just two.
However, for some, these options do not give the level for integrity needed for long lasting and fore filling relationships.

Online dating sites still have their place and gives its members the chance to find like minded people usually in a location near to them.

OK, once they were deemed as a place people would join up to yet keep it from their friends and family in fear of ridicule. Yes, once upon a time, online dating services were the butt of many jokes and should you admit you used them, your credibility would be damaged.

Thankfully those days have long gone and online dating services have a real place in our social structure. People now use them for the ease of meeting people and in the comfort of knowing other members join for the same reason.

I remember 10 years ago of hearing of a couple who were married after finding each other through an online dating website. The stigma must have been hard for them to bear as it hit the headlines and many journalists followed them for days trying to get an interview.
Today, the words “We met on the Internet” are socially accepted and no one bats an eyelid. In-fact, today I would say it is expected that many people find friendship or even love through the power of Online dating websites.

Now that online dating is so acceptable, we should embrace it and use these sites to find new social experiences, to meet new friends and maybe, find the love of our lives.

At the end of the day, does it matter how you find true love? Is it not more important to find our own piece of happiness no matter what path we have take to find it.

Avoid the Internet Scammers

So about 5 years ago, I thought I would investigate how the so called “Internet Gurus” were making so much money.

You see, like so many before me, I had been caught by a webpage that offered me amazing wealth in next to no time.
I signed up and paid my $149 to get the information that would “Turn my life around”.

Now we have to understand here, I don’t class myself as a fool nor do I class myself as being gullible, however I do class myself as being naïve in those early days of trying to make money.

So I paid my money and was given a link to download the magical information.
Well you can just image my horror when I download a 24 page eBook that told me virtually everything I had already learnt from just searching Google.

It was obvious, the author of that eBook had, like me, search Google and then used the good old copy and paste to make an eBook.
My heart sank and I thought “OK, lets get my money back”…. No chance. The email address to ask for refunds did not work and there was no way I could contact the author.
Yep! I had just been scammed.

I guess we all have stores similar to this or know people who have been scammed like me.
Why should these scammers get away with it? How could I stop people getting scammed?
This is why I started to investigate how the so called Gurus make money from the Internet and how I could protect myself in the future.
So lets get one thing very clear. I am not saying that all these types of Programs or Systems are scams. In-fact I know some of them out there today, do actually work but can they deliver the wealth they claim? Not very often.

You see, and let’s be honest here, if you were making huge amounts of money on the Internet, would:
1. Tell others so they could set up in competition with you?
2. Waste time selling the information for $99 when you could spend that time making huge amounts of money?

Think of it this way. If I created a system that Guaranteed me a win on the lottery every week, would I want to share that with you and then have to share the winnings… no way, I would be wanting to keep that for myself. You would to, right?

So why do these Gurus want to sell us this information?
Simple.
Usually the system they invented or have used in the past, no longer delivers the money they want or may not deliver any money anymore. There only source of income from those systems is just to sell the idea to people like you and me.

So how can we make money today on the Internet?
The answer is easy… find a niche market and exploit it… but most important, keep the idea to yourself. It’s not a nice thing to think about but remember, do you want to share your winnings with me and with others?
